In this video we look at creating a local CentOS 6.3 mirror server so that updates and software install can be perfomed locally. You would not need that many servers or desktops locally to make this a worthwhile effort. Allowing you to have centralized version control of updates to you Linux machines. First we set up the mirror server using rsync to create local copies. With that is place we configure the clients yum reopsitory to point to the local mirror.
