It would be so fun for you to take an area in your home, and “shop” in your own plant room. How would you style an area with some of the beauties you already have. I’d love your advise on which of these rarer plants need bright light, which rarer philodendron can be in a living room with less humidity, which will do good in lower light, if any. In my experience so far, Philodendron Aura, and silver sword don’t need extra humidity at all, my Gloriousum does great with no extra humidity. Can these rarer plants, velvet leafed anthurium for example, thrive in a living room, dining room setting? Everyone seems to keep them in a humidity high, closed off, plant room.

I love giving myself a budget...like today I only had $20 but...I got a Peperomia Piccolo Banda, a Satin Pothos, a PHILODENDRON MICANS, and a Syngomium Batik! It was a total of $17! Two were 75% off! Great plant day!

I literally never once thought about how you can flip the plant stands so it can be taller or shorter… 🤯

You made the better choice. Birds of paradise are cute when they are small, but they get kinda unruly as they age. There is also an art to trimming off the dead flowers and damaged leaves and not leaving behind a bunch of brown ick. The previous owner of my house didn’t know what they were doing so I had three massive messes. I ended up ripping out all three and replacing them with assorted aloes.

I bought one of the glass jar terrariums from Walmart at the beginning of summer and turned it into a low tech mini planted aquarium/ walstad tank for snails (and maybe shrimp eventually)! It’s a super fun project if you ever want to try out aquarium/aquatic plants <3

Bird of paradise is super easy care....tolerates lower light, I use to put mine in basement for winter on bottom shelf and makes it year after year and sprouted new leaf down there last year....aldo crocodile fern is easy care for me, not able to grow all ferns but this is one that does not get brown edges and can completely dry out just no fuss at all and can be plased anywhere since it can not handle no direct light! Love your new snake plant! I love how you have an idea a d budget and see what comes about! The other nursery was fun to go to too! It gets my urges out of me ehen I go with you!
