I've eaten some great meal in pubs around the UK. On this trip I decided to search out 3 of London's oldest pubs to try some traditional British food and hopefully dispel the myth that British Food is all bad?
The three spots in order are:

The Seven Stars, Aldwych.
53 Carey St, near Chancery Lane station, WC2A 2JB

The George, Borough
77 Borough High St, near London Bridge station, SE1 1NH

The Mayflower, Rotherhithe
117 Rotherhithe St, Rotherhithe, near Rotherhithe station, SE16 4NF

It's been 8 years since I posted my first video. Now I've just relaunched.
Challenge is to complete what I started with a 6 month series in which I hope to answer these questions.
What makes Nigerian food Nigerian food?
Why have certain techniques been developed?
Are there techniques to make the process of some food preparation easier?
Are there techniques to make the food taste even more awesome?

I'm not a chef so I'm looking to find answers through the process of getting in the kitchen and cooking, as well as travelling and eating in order to compare and contrast foods and cooking techniques from other cultures.
Lastly I'm hoping to learn from all of you guys whether you are expert in Nigerian cuisine or just like eating food.

Don't forget to subscribe.
Also leave comments and let us know what you want in the next show.

You present both the urban vibe and the traditional vibe in aesthetically pleasing manner. 💯

What a nice video; thank you! The pie at the George looks so delicious (and I love that little sauce boat.) The roast also looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing this!

Yep - The George and The Mayflower are on my list of Pubs and pub meals on my upcoming visit to London. This is the third time they’ve been recommended to me on YouTube 🇬🇧 I’m going to make sure I’m there on Sunday, so that I can tuck into a roast 🍽️😋

Brilliant video. Have subscribed. That steak pie was awesome and the roast was at another level. We live on the west coast of Canada. Missing the roast dinners from Ireland and Britain. Hard to find here. Had one where the Yorkshire pudding looked great, but tasted as though it was made with plaster of Paris which it possibly was. Also noodles were on the plate. Since then we have found a really great roast dinner at The Doghouse, Duncan, Vancouver Island.

People love to knock UK school dinners. But I loved them. Our school dinners came in 4 sittings. If you were in the first sitting food would be just out of the oven but if you were in the 4th sitting... well? But the upside to 4th sitting was second helpings. 😂

My first hiking trek in the U.K. was the 18-day Wainwright Coast-to-Coast. I started out in Saint Bees, in Cumbria, along the shores of the Irish Sea, straight, kinduv, across to Robin Hood Bay along the North Sea coast, in Yorkshire; the land was absolutely beautiful, but the best part was that I stayed in small inns, B&Bs and pubs, all in little villages. I can't tell you how much I loved it, especially the food! It seemed that every village I stayed in had its own ales and its own sausages; I would've thought that I'd lose some weight, after all I did walk close to 200 miles, but I have the sneaking suspicion that I might have put on more. One word to describe British food, YUM-ATIOUS!

One thing I particularly loved that’s underrated while in London was the whitebait

I have to say that I'm a fan of some traditional British grub, especially if it's dessert. Rhubarb crumble anyone? Banoffe 🥧, proper old school triffle. We can leave spotted dick off that list.
What's your favourite British dish?

I’m so glad you don’t jump on the bandwagon saying the UK has bad food. People need to visit and try the food for theirselves! London has some of the best and diverse food in the world imo!

I haven't been in London for a while, but 2 pubs worth trying are:-
THE GUINEA in Bruton Street. Great food. Bit on the pricey side.
And;
THE DOVE in Chiswick, on the river, by the bridge.
Maybe worth another video.
Cheers
