I think as a young teen hearing "Killer Queen" on AM radio the first time was a real mind-blowing experience. Queen was one of those band I never really cared for everything they did, but when I review what I do I'm always surprised just how many really great songs they did.

I prefer the first three albums. Sheer Heart Attack is a classic. An attack by Vicious cannot be taken seriously. Anyway Sid can hardly be called a musician. Freddie was the best front man of them all. Over the top, yes but that was the whole point.

I like the Jam well enough - I kind of adored them when I was in my teens - but I think Queen's music is far more memorable and lasting than all the other singers/bands combined.
