As a Cadillac LYRIQ owner, I can honestly say that these new generation of electric vehicles are probably the best cars that Cadillac has ever made.

I’ve owned an STS, SRX and XT5 (currently). The Cadillac EV feel like Mercedes products.

Unfortunately, they still have some software issues. I had to wait an entire year before I got my LYRIQ order because of supercruise holding it back and because of the UAW strike.

Now that things seem to be moving forward smoothly I’ve had my car for 6000 miles and very recently my super cruise and adaptive cruise control have run into some issue that requires me to take it back to the dealer service. I would have had to take it back for service anyway by 7000 miles but now I have to go in to get these items reset.

One of the things I’ve realized is that I’ve been overreliant on the forward, collision detection, super cruise, driving and adaptive cruise control. When you don’t have these features, you really feel the weight of these cars. Acceleration and deceleration suddenly becomes a chore.

That said: I hope things will be better, but I really doubt that will be the issue because they use the exact same base software that the Lyriq uses.

Personally, I like the OPTIQ, but I think an issue GM will have is selling these when the XT4 costs so much less.
The OPTIK starts at $54, 000 which really puts it in the same striking range as buying a brand new XT5.

This American market is hurting from high interest interest rates and a $54, 000 car loan is most likely gonna cost you over $1000 per month.

I really believe that this market really wants a three row VISTIQ more than it once the OPTIQ.

Here in New York City, for example these electric cars are being used by Uber/lift/ride shares.

With the Lincoln Navigator and the Cadillac Escalade exceeding $110, 000 as well as gas electric vehicles are suddenly in demand.

I think the only thing that will convince Cadillac buyers to move on from the XT4, XT5 and XT6 to one of their electric replacements is psychological obsolescence, and the need to have something new. I get a lot of compliments and a lot of questions from people about my car I tell them the truth : advantages and disadvantages.

I live in a small town in New Jersey and have seen several Cadillac Lyriqs in my area, and they are beautiful cars.

7:39 The area where you'd think you have the C-Pillar is actually the rear quarter window with a design that flows into the top part of the taillights. So it's not exactly a true blind spot. It's an unusual in-between that actually works pretty well with the overall design.

Now this looks like a futurstic unique design. Unlike the new tesla model 3 blob

Haha. Regardless of how many you see in your area the Cadillac Lyriq is the best selling vehicle in the segment and it’s a very crowded segment with lots of choices. The _Optiq_ will do very well for the Cadillac brand as will the three-row Vistiq.

The lyriq gives station wagon vibes toward the back. The Optiq is looks better.

I feel like the rims don´t match the otherwise futuristic look of the car. Cadillac really has a strong brand identity these days. The vertical light signatures are especially cool and unmistakable. Really liked your take that they help make it look planted!

tbh it's the first electric SUV which looks really good in my opinion

this makes a lot more sense than the lyriq. it's 7 inches shorter yet offers virtually the same cargo space.
it also comes with AWD standard and comes fully equipped for 57k vs Lyriq's that can easily get into the low 70s for AWD

The lease on my Ioniq 5 is up in 1.5 years. It’s going to come down to price on my next leased EV. I have several “must haves” for my EV. I live in Southern Arizona so ventilated seats are on the list. It’s summer, I turn on the ventilated seats on as soon as I get in the car. Preferably, no glass roof, or at least one with a retractable shade. 230 miles of actual highway range. A 360 degree camera. I would prefer RWD, but FWD is not a deal breaker. Whichever EV gets me those things, at the best price, is the one I’ll lease. It’s nice to see other manufacturers are beginning to realize Tesla didn’t get everything right. They’re beginning to see that people want buttons, not a touch screen for everything. OEM’s are starting to stop following Tesla down the road like lemmings on a mass migration.

I think I'm having a similar reaction to the rear of this car as I had to the front end of the Pontiac Aztek, but that one has grown on me over time. Maybe this one will too.
It's such a mixed bag for me unfortunately. There are bits that I think are great which I like a lot but then there are other parts I think look totally goofy.

have you guys seen the lmdh prototype cadillac has in WEC races, I think they should get rid of the front grill and get inspired design features from that

I jist want the vertical part of the headlights to be more thinner. They look off going from thin the down and getting big.

The lack of continuity in the rear lights top-to bottom is a huge L. Overall very nice, especially for this class.

Have you considered changing the name of your channel from Bembli to...Chamfers?

I like the part that use words to name their cars and not numbers.

Even using 8amp 120 volt charging in my Bolt EV is pretty good. 12 amp 1.44kW Charging is perfectly useable for normal use. 12 hours of charge is good for 50 miles of range in my Bolt.
