In school we would remove the tacky surface before adding the builder gel for isolated chrome designs.
Is this wrong?

Is it me or does that protein bond look HUGE, if so then have they started making a big bottle 😱

I use a no wipe matt top coat and a no wipe top coat to draw on the design. The chrome sticks to the matt coat but doesn't stick to the design. Perhaps the trick is to only cure the design for 30 seconds and that way it will stick but I cant for the life of me figure out why it sticks to the matt coat. I'm genuinely doing everything most nail techs are telling me.

Exactly what I've been struggling with!
But somehow when i dust off the chrome powder after applying it, it doesn't take all of it off from around my design. Then after curing, the mess around the design is still there. If i wipe off, everything wipes off.. It's a pain. I don't know if its the products I'm using..i tried with base coat and with top coat and it was the same. Meh :/

I tried to use chrome and it would not stick. Looks like the trick is to cure for 30 seconds, no more no less. When I fully cured the top coat, the chrome would not stick at all. 🥲
