Fix Infinite Shader Installation | Black Ops: Cold War

Is Black Ops: Cold War stuck in an infinite shader install loop? Can't play the game with good FPS because of it? Well, this video takes you through some steps to help fix that issue. These issues are similar to the ones from Modern Warfare, so a lot of the fixes from that also work here.

Guys i found the fix! For anyone who’s tried all this and it still wont work hop in a multiplayer game then quit after a minute or two and your shaders should start going extremely slow

its pathetic that this has to be done so often. i get shaders working in mw, and then cold war is fucked up, vise versa . so sick of activisions poorly optimized
solutions.

The only thing that worked for me while being stuck at 45%, was to ignore the warning about reduced game performance and play a multiplayer game some minutes, exiting before the end and then the shader compiling went further till completion.

The shader issue is an engine problem you can find a lot of developers complain about this online while building a game

Gets stuck all the time. Then when done the texture doesnt load in, laggy as hell, shaders reinstall every time I start up the game, things glitch etc... worst game on PC

im foreal stuck as soon as the game opens it says compiling shaders: New install ( placeholder text). Then i get disconnected from the server and it just gives me the option to close the game, Anyone figure this out???

The worst thing is when its at zero percent for multiplayer shaders when multiplayer isn't even installed.
