As mentioned, spend a little time with the Wikipedia article on the Internet Protocol (a link is in the Description).  It represents a group of communications protocols you have been using for years.  HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol, DNS is the Domain Name System, SSH for Secure Shell, and FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol.  We'll cover a few of these in the next few videos.  -Paul
