Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Whole mars is spot on. I’ve always said i’d rather have Tesla hold the cash and use it to grow the business where they see fit then to buy back stock to temporarily inflate the price only for it to just probably fall back down again short term anyway.
Plus i’d rather have a higher dividend yield & earn a dividend eventually over any stock buy back.

No, no, no... Anyone recommending a stock buyback is ignorant and only thinking very short term. The clearly have an ulterior motive like they own a bunch of options that are going to expire soon.
For Tesla to build 1 million robo taxis it will cost about $20 billion dollars. That's more than half their cash. They will need that to get these things out on the street and get them generating revenues. And you also need enough cash on hand to guarantee that any disruption in the economy will not destroy the company. So that cash sitting in their account is destined for cybercabs and Optimus bots.

Buyback now is a stupid idea. A buyback is for when you're flushed with cash and want to reward the stock holders. Tesla needs the cash to expand robotaxi.

Elon has said the only reason to do a buyback is if they are out of ideas for innovation.

52 years ago my grad school finance prof said a stock buyback is a sign of a company that has no good new product ideas. Tesla needs cash for CyberCabs and Optimus. End of story.

Nah keep the cash for security, future cash-flows if real will be more than any company could ever hope for, no need to take unnecessary risk here.

Tesla did not do buy back in the 100s, how can you expect it does buy back in the 200s?

Ten years from now, when electric cars are mainstream. When robotaxis are as common as elevators. When trucking is mostly electric. When household robots are as common as TV sets... Tesla stock will have risen 10x. Investors will say, 'I wish I had a time machine and invested in TSLA back in 2025, when it was at its lowest.' Well, as a longtime Tesla investor who made 30x, and someone who invested in Moderna and BioNTech before the pandemic and made 5x—this is the time to buy. No time machine needed. Just my wisdom, acquired over the years, and you to put your money on your convictions.

Ross Gerber, the billionaire original investor in Tesla, just said TSLA is way overvalued with a ridiculous PE and can drop 50%. He unloaded. It's a cult stock with lots of competition and limited future prospects. And a brand pariah.

Would Tesla be profitable without carbon credits?

If they don’t need cash for growth, buy BTC. I think they need it for more growth though.

Instead of buying back we can buy Part of XAI! 10% = 8 billions$?

Stock buyback is a GM type move. Not someone Tesla wants to copy.

Buy back isn’t a ridiculous idea. Not to burn the shorts but for confidence and to double/triple the investment. If FSD will be solved and robo taxi, entering India, a new affordable model is coming, semi truck, energy scaled, etc. the next few years should be tremendous growth where the stock does see healthy growth. Tesla getting behind this could be a great idea if the 34 billion isn’t going to anything urgent. Keep 20 in the bank, pay off some debt and buy 10-15 billion in a buy back. If they wait like it’s suggested in this video, the stock will already have tripled. If the stock is set to 2-5X in the next 5 years, it’s actually foolish and irresponsible NOT to.

Change the CEO, change the narrative! A buyback does nothing.
