i feel like people forget that celebrities are still people too. they have boundaries and they shouldn’t have to please every single person, and it sucks, because if they don’t, they’ll be shamed and considered rude.

for those who cant hear, basically this was after a show she had in new york in 2019

she had recently finished the show, and she had expected only a couple fans to meet and take pictures with. she left the main room everyone was in because she was overwhelmed and she didnt want to keep taking pictures with all these people who, in her mother's words, were "people connected to the label somehow." her mom realized she had left, and so she went to find her and bring her back bc people were asking for her.

billie's mom made her go back out, even though she didn't want to. if you look at the pictures you can tell how tired, sad, and exhausted she looks.

even her mom admitted that she was throwing her to the wolves, thats literally an exact quote from the doc.

also after this happened, some of the people who met her were calling her rude (although if you WATCH THE DOCUMENTARY you can tell she was being as nice as possible) 🙃 celebrities are humans too 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

1. she also wasnt just acting like this bc of the show or bc she didnt wanna meet people. this was the same day she broke up with her boyfriend and the one year anniversary of XXX tentacion dying. its overwhelming in general

2. please stop saying "well this is what you get with fame 🤷‍♀️ if she really wanted it..." u sound dumb asl 😭 this was her first arena tour &&& this was during a time in which fame was actually making her very depressed (which she's talked about in interviews). she was only 17, please show at least SOME sympathy 🤦‍♀️

I had to rewatch it a few times but basically:

There’s random people Billie’s supposed to meet with. It sounds like she expected like one person but then it became more and more. She could handle the one but having to keep meeting with people she didn’t know or their purpose to her career. Her mom also didn’t know “they’re not random. Billie, I don’t know they’re connected to the label somehow.”

And then she ended up doing it anyway, but her tics (if you didn’t know, she has Tourette’s) started to act up because she was stressed out.

Edit: As someone with tics myself, Im not "pointing them out." For starters, there are alot of people saying theyre fake, not that bad, i dont feel bad for her, etc.
