New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, 42, announced on January 19 that she will not seek re-election and plans to stand down no later than February 7. Ardern said she “no longer had enough in the tank” to do the job. Ardern became the world’s youngest female Prime Minister when she was elected in 2017 at the age of 37. The Prime Minister said the past five years had been the "most fulfilling" of her life.
