Sakhal can seem to be a bit of a challenge to start with - but if you prioritize making a torch for a mobile heat source, then run around getting better clothes, some food, rags for a fishing line, stick for a rod & hook, and you'll be good to go.

The biggest threat is de-hydration, but if you can keep yourself well fed & warm, you should have enough time to find a cooking pot, defrost it, and that water will keep you going!

Break the long stick into short sticks. You can still craft the torch with a short stick and you have 2 sticks left over for the drill kit.

You don't need a knife to gather sticks. But you do need a knife to gather bark. This reduces the wear of the knife.

I can't wait for this to release I have 5k hours on DayZ on console and nothing is hard for me since all servers are easy so I look for hardcore servers only 100% buying this when it launches

How is heavy metal poisoning indicated? Is there a new icon? Aren't the mushrooms poisoned with heavy metal too?
Have you seen caribou/reindeer yet? Wolves chasing them?
The wolf meat is contaminated, and thus inedible. What about the caribou/reindeer meat? The fox meat? Are all the animals contaminated?
