This is absolutely amazing. I almost tossed my henckel stainless steel pan because everything would stick to it. Little did I know it was operator error all along. I just tried it and pan fried an egg. It didn't stick one bit and it tasted better than ever!! Thank you for this life skill!!!!

I get all of these stages except for the one water ball. Ugh! Still experimenting.

@v0larevia It may be one of the most important thing to learn in cooking. It's something the non-stick pan makers don't want you to know. If you heat a pan properly nothing will stick.

@j3ckl3r This is where so many people fail however. A pan that is not properly heated can cause all sorts of issues as you know. I use this every time I cook so I know nothing will stick and I won't burn the oil.

The water test is most effective in a stainless steel pan as per our demo.

Do you start at medium/low? Also, when I get to that stage do I turn the heat down when I start cooking so the pan doesn't "get to hot"? And considering the pan is at a certain heat, does that mean I should cook everything at that same temperature, that doesn't make sense.... does it?

dont forget that when you add the food to the pan you pull heat away.

Every pan and stove combination will be different so you just need to look for that mercury ball of water to know when your pan is ready.
