How To Factory Reset Your Night Owl DVR (How To Reset Night Owl DVR To Factory Settings?). In this video tutorial I will show you how to factory reset Night Owl DVR.

Here is a step-by-step process on how to do this:
• Go to the recorder main menu.
• Log back in if necessary.
• Click on the Advanced option.
• Select the Maintain option.
• Find the Load Default tab, then click on it.
• Choose your Factory Default options, then click OK. They include General, Encode, Alarm Ser, Net Service, Schedule, and RS232.
• Allow your DVR to reboot and reset the settings.

Alternatively, if your DVR uses the Night Owl Protect app, you can use the software to factory reset. Here’s how:
• Remove the DVR from the Night Owl Protect app.
• Go to the Main menu by tapping on the Tools option.
• Scroll down the menu and select the Reset button.
• Click the Factory Reset button.
• Tap the Continue button and let your DVR reset.

Nightowl support is terrible. I Hardwire and routed my cameras. Took me all day. Had it running for like less than a year and encounter a problem with app. Can't reset my password. They can't reset my password. Anything they tell me to try yo resolve my provlem doesn't work. What a waste of money and more important time!
