I use less detergent than it says and have never had an issue I just think they want us going through it faster and buying more lol.

We use Dawn for clothes as was dishes. Works great, saves buying and storing 2 products. And yes, we use way less than a tablespoon.

I have clotheslines set up in my cellar.
I used to hang clothes out and it always rained ! I use the lines in the cellar and they can stay up without getting rained on ! I use clothes bars too.

Happy Friday Kate and Kaden! For delicates, such as lingerie (hand wash), I use a cheap salad spinner to wash and spin dry, then hang to dry. Gain liquid or pods is my favorite.

I use water from my rain barrels for washing clothes. I simply use five gallon buckets to fill my top-loading washer as needed for both wash water and rinse water.

If you live in a cold climate like Maine, rack drying your clothes indoors in the wintertime helps battle the dry air. Your clothes dry without electricity, the air feels warmer due to a higher moisture content, and you won't need to run a humidifier so often! It's also better for your health to NOT have super-dry air in your home.

I use pods, I didn't always but what I found was that it was easier on my family members to help out with laundry if they had it premeasured. We always do a full load so it has worked out for us. When I am doing laundry, liquid 100%. I wanted to add, periodically check the vent for your dryer, where it vents outside. Make sure it is clear of plants and or lint.

Tide cold water pods are the best. My laundry has never been cleaner, and so awesome to not have to lug around heavy liquid jugs!

I have a little wash board and I will scrub stains before I put garment into machine, makes a HUGE difference in how clothes look. Way better than buying spray”n”wash or other stain sprays.

Your clothes smell so good when hung out on the line. Especially the sheets. The sun actually sanitizes your clothes.

Hey there, ...also, upscaling the funnel on tide bottle is great life hack too. Many funnels for use around the house and garden.🎉

Hmm, I have to do laundry this weekend.

Yup, I don't use the dryer unless for comforters. Use a drying rack. Works well, saves money.

A friend's dad who retired from P&G, said to use much less product, half to a third. I diluate the detergent. I spot treat stains and use the shortest cycle. Use warm or cool wash and cold rinse. I use Arm and Hammer and Persil for white loads only. I only buy detergent when on sale.

I don't think I've ever bought dryer sheets and couldn't tell you what they were for lol

We use an old formula scoop for our laundry powder. We're also in the process of moving over to laundry balls! We got some cheap ones, but im pretty sure these ones are meant for the dryer, so getting washing specific ones when we have the money. We also live in Brisbane Australia so clothes lines are IT for drying our clothing (we don't even own a dryer haha!)

I found Tru Earth! They are little sheets that are eco friendly. No plastic bottles! Nothing heavy to lift and no mess. They actually clean and soften the clothes.

I have a solar panel on the roof so do the washing when the sun shines. Use wash tablets only use one half the recommended amount. Never use fabric conditioner. . Most social housing in the UK have solar panels. The housing . association sell the electric I don't use back to the grid .

I’m in Australia so things are a bit different here. I use a very economical, environmental friendly, scent free liquid detergent. I add my own essential oils to make a scent I like and use about a 1/4 of the recommended amount. I haven’t used fabric softener in years and our clothes and towels are even softer than before. I don’t own a dryer, everything dries outside or on a drying rack. I wash during the day to use any solar power that our panels produce and only use cold water. I occasionally strip wash things (maybe once a year)
