Orange Crush Mini Amp | Review | Demo | Amplifier

British amplifier legends, Orange unveiled some exciting additions to their range at this year's NAMM. The new compact amp line includes the Brent Hinds signature Terror head, the Rocker 15 Terror head and Crush Mini amps. Nick Jennison got grips with the later of the two new releases in this issue.

Orange Crush Mini Amp

So while the Rocker 15 Terror is an eminently portable amp, and perfectly usable for quite practice sessions, you’re unlikely to drag it up to your hotel room and rig up a cab to work on your chops. Don’t worry though; Orange has got you covered with the Crush Mini.

I got one to play on my deck. I really like it. I find myself practicing with it a lot. It’s quiet enough to not have my neighbors hate me, it loves pedals and is versatile enough to get a ton of sounds out of. I really like it.

Beginner electric guitarist here- I think I'm going to get myself this amp as my first! It's affordable enough, I like how it looks, and your review has informed me of its quality. It's a nice comprehensive review/demo that showcases all its features and how it sounds. If I hadn't found this video and discovered that this little amp on my list had a tuner and a headphone output thing, I wouldn't be deciding on this one. Thanks!

I love the "that speaker cabinet that we all have" because yes I have that speaker cabinet (or 2) sitting around and would love to utilize them

A nice little amp for practice, has a good built-in tuner and crunch controls... It lost the crunch ability around one year after purchase, but I can still run a dirt pedal into it.

I love the Orange Crush Mini. By itself not as much but used as a "head" played into a cabinet it is a metal monster.

I'm starting to believe that this man is literally just a giant.

I love this little guy for spur-of-the-moment practice. No time for a modeling amplifier with twenty zillion amp/pedal models to boot up, just plug in and play.

Sounds brutal for a mini amp! Definitely I’m getting one of those *~*

guys, this is a tiny practice amp, not a big combo or stack. Dont expect the universe out of it. It does sound better plugged into a cab. But it sounds fine by itself as well.

Sounds good, especially for what is---3 watts solid state. I have a Fender mini Tone Master that has a decent clean and a good distorted tone. Not buying one with the delusion of replacing my tube amps--- I have a Carvin X60, Pignose G40 and a few more tube amps. These amps are handy to play late at night, not wanting to disturb others around, writing songs, etc.

I’m a beginner guitarist and got this as my first amp, it’s quite “fuzzy” but it’s normal for the price. The tuner broke within the second week of using it though, googled and it seems like a common problem

You talked about plugging it into a speaker cab, and you never plugged it into the speaker cab it was sitting on. Why?

This is so true. My cab had dust, a frickin Venetian blind and a bicycle pump on it! 😀

Very good explanation, but u should show a little bit of clean sound as someone, like me, wanna use it as a pedal platform and pair it with bigger speakers.
