John Denver

A gentle and kind spirit
A blessing to see
Love is so easy
A love so free
Just the beat of your heart
Reminds you
You are part
Of this amazing world
Let's be the change
You want to see
For a greater purpose
Than money
But for God
To praise THEE

What memories I just stirred up from so long ago. My intro to JD was hearing "Welcome to My Morning" many times at an EST seminar. He was listed as on the board of EST in the folder I had. So I wrote him a letter complimenting him for that song, and I received a signed postcard back. No awe no gaga just respect expressed. It was only later that I discovered he was a reigning -super star. I didn't know, not a clue, I've never been very musical and didn't even listen to music on the radio, I think because I wrote to him through EST, he, (or his secretary, ) answered.

Thanks, John, for sharing with us not just your happy times, but also the not-so-happy times you had. Most would not bear their heart & soul like you did.

Hugs, & may you now have the greatest peace.

For a brief moment at our group picnic lunch on the roof of the auditorium for the First Windstar Symposium, 1986, I asked John, face to face, Why are you teaching "you and me, " when you know "you are me.?" And he said to me, " 'You are me' doesn't communicate yet." I was a part of Windstar, and attended 8 of the 10 symposium, very few have noticed that he was first a Spiritual Master teaching a huge following. Timely Spiritual knowledge is woven into his music. Study his lyrics.
John did a seven stop speaking tour in nations around our world, and spoke out in prophecy to save our Mother Earth. As he put it, "standing in fear and trembling." He didn't sing at all in them. He knew God used him and was directing him. At the first one I had decided I wasn't going to go, and suddenly I just had to be there and got in my car and went, it was at or near Vail, Colorado. I ended up on about the center front edge of the upper balcony, and as he spoke a tremendous stream of "chi" energy flowed through me to him the entire time he spoke. I was in a place where I wouldn't be noticed with my hands outstretched. I once watched him teach a group of younger children, gathered to be a chorus behind him, to sing a song as a prayer. It was between takes for a Christmas special being filmed in the streets of Aspen. Peace.

John Denver

Walk
Walk one more mile
To appreciate
Yet another smile
On someones face
For it's grace
To face another day
To meet the stranger
Who might struggle
With pain or anger
Walk
Walk one more mile
And see the difference
When facing the harsh sun
We need it
To grow
Like winter and snow
Each season
Provides the best
For a generous spirit
To grow
To feed the hungry
To provide for the poor
The orphan and widow
Who prayes
All night through
She knows
God will provide for all her needs
Praying
On bended knees

John Denver

The pain of love
Is sometimes
Too much to handle
To live a dream
Seems so much better
You can say
It's a fake world
You're living in
But with God
Nothing is impossible
HE is still my hope
For Christ is real
Jesus my Rock and my Fortress
I don't fear
We'll pray for each other
In this crazy world
Then God opens our eyes
To see all His wonders

John Denver

Those where chapters
Two, six and four
Knocking on my front door
Seven, nine and eight
Where at my back gate
Then you said the words
Which I so desperately
longed for
Please, open the door
A grain of sand
In your hand
My precious pearl
There's a lot
I'm longing for
It's a journey
From where you are
Grain of sand
To be the precious pearl
In my hand
