Suspension is a key element to any overland vehicle build. With our new Tacoma we returned to the gurus at ICON Vehicle Dynamics to fine-tune a suspension system for our unique needs. Their Stage 6 Suspension System offers the ability to adjust compression and dampening depending on the conditions we're traveling in; while increasing wheel travel and suspension height. We chat with Dylan, ICON's lead engineer to download some of his immense knowledge on 4WD suspension.

Did you guys use a front diff drop or anything? What about any kind of rear axle shims or carrier bearing drop kits for the rear? That is if you have been getting any kind of driveline vibrations? Awesome build by the way. I really like your suspensions set up!

I got an Icon stage 4 kit for my 2016 Tacoma in the mail and i was wondering if you guys ended up getting a Diff Drop kit for your Tacoma?

I ordered the ICON shocks 2.5 w/ reservoir and adjusters (front & rear) along with Total Chaos UCA's Question: Is it necessary to replace the stock Lower Control Arms with aftermarket ones? Other then the aftermarket one's being a lot beefier, the geometry is the same as stock. My off road sales guy is trying to convince me to get aftermarket ones but will set me back $1500 for a Total Chaos LCA's. I just don't see the benefit of getting them, plus a majority of my off road buddies don't have aftermarket LCA's....whats your thoughts?
