How to FIX PS5 Disconnecting from Internet & Wifi (Fast Tutorial)

Do you want to know how to fix the internet disconnecting on your ps5! You can go to settings, network and then go to your internet connection and go to advance options. Change the primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and the secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4 and the MTU settings to 1472! Also, try connecting to a 5ghz connection for faster download and upload speeds!

I was having an issue where exactly every hour my PS5 would disconnect from online. If I was watching something, it buffered for eternity, if I was online gaming it kicked me out of the game.

I had to go to settings and test the Internet connection to reconnect every time to get another hour of gaming.

This video has resolved the issue. Shortly after I made the changes exactly as instructed, my router restarted on its own, and I haven't disconnected since.

This 100% fixed my issue. I had previously had to reset the router at least 3-4 a week…now I’m on and connected at 96% signal strength. And to think I almost rewired the router to move it closer 😂

I have a question. Yesterday I got a PS5. I set it up and everything & it was ready to be used. I put in the DVD disc which was FC24 and yesterday, it worked fine. I had so much fun. Then the next day, which is today, I joined FC24 and once in a while, I get disconnected and get set back to the screen where you choose which game you’re gonna play. I haven’t tried this method of yours yet, but will it work in this circumstance of my PS5? Hopefully you can answer this.

Mine was disconnecting every 5-10 min and did this. Been gaming for an hour w/o having to reset so far so good

Yea this hasn’t worked for me at all 😕. I have had no problems what so ever over the years and since the last 3 weeks my console has just randomly been disconnecting heaps out of nowhere. I thought it was my internet itself but everything else is working super fine. Just not my consol. I’ve researched everything as possible to fixed it but nothing ever did. I watched your vid and thought things worked but in truth it made it worse. Only thing it stoped was the wifi completely disconnected off my account. But I can’t play anything for max 10-15m without a disconnect and it’s apparently to do with the Bad import. I’m no computer wiz or what not. But I haven’t had this next problem since I followed manually changing my wifi stuff

I highly recommend the only last two option I haven’t done that I know one will work and other maybe. Is either the Ethernet cable. Or format the console to see if it’s an actual bug.

Like disconnect all the time but it still lets me play online, just when someone sents me an invite I can’t see who it is or I can’t join I have to retest the internet all the time 😢
