How To Use Katana Librarian Mobile App For Boss Katana MK2

This is the second version of this Katana Librarian tutorial I have made. The last one was about tow years ago and was lower quality. Hopefully this one covers things a little faster and better. Please forgive the crappy lighting on the intro and outro, but I didn't feel like breaking out the good camera and lights for a few minutes of commentary. Next time I do a video with the app, we'll work on creating a tone with it. Thanks for watching.

"I hope you can see where I am touching"
ending with
"That is what she said" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is a really neat app, sounds like money well spent JUST TO NOT HAVE TO LUG A LAPTOP AROUND. Thank you for making the video

The easiest cord that works for me on android phone was USB B (back of amp connection) to USB C. Bought online, sent the next day. Works perfect, get the 6ft not 3ft.

*Should I buy and demo the "Katana Man" app so you can get a feel for that one as well?*

This does work with the Airstep Kat Bluetooth foot switch, for those like me that have the 50 mk II 😁😁

The Apps have always been great for the Yamaha THR and Fender Mustang too.
Bluetooth Marshall CODE is fantastic. I'm grateful for all those clever people out there.
Thanks for taking the time to show this.

Hi thanks for the video. At the beginning you show a few adaptors including the one for iphone/ipad. I purchased that adaptor for iPad but it appears that librarian ap only works via bluetooth when using an ipad/iphone. Luckily I already purchased a very cheap android tablet sole for using katana librarian (works great) but people please note you cannot connect your iPad by cable to your katana and make the ap work... you need either a blue tooth adaptor for the amp or one of those airstep things. Shame because I'd hoped that I would just be able to connect up my iphone for gigs rather than have to take the tablet with me.

So I thought there was some official Android app for the katana MK2 is there not? And can you just plug in the cable directly?

Bought the Katana Librarian years ago for my Mark 1, absolute life saver that completely unlocks the amp imo 👍

Does OTG Type C can work? Or is there any specific cord to use from Katana to Android phone?

I've installed the app and I'm waiting for delivery of a suitable cable. The app tells me I can't upgrade to the paid version from within the app. Will it allow me to do this when I have it connected to my tablet with the cable?

Hey Scott! Thanks for doing such great videos!! You really do a thorough job-really appreciate you! I'm a new Katana MKii EX user, and have both the GA-FC EX and the standard GA-FC linked. I've been using the Tone Studio, but I'm having a helluva time matching the amp volume across all the 8 patches I have loaded. Also, I'm having trouble getting the settings right so that when I change between channels, they always default to having the Boost off. Would really appreciate some guidance, particularly on the 1st issue. I've had trouble finding any good reference material to help me with this. Thanks a ton~!

Cost me the equivalent of $13.69, not $9 in the UK

On the Katana Go library I can take all my guitar patches that I have created and save them into the library?
Thank you.

Can you plan the amount sound through the phone? I would want that for when I’m practicing

Does this work for the Artist MK2 and an iPhone? Librarian on the iPhone requires Bluetooth to connect to the amp. You showed an OTG but that wired not Bluetooth. Did I miss something. Much obliged.
