This is why we fly gliders (gliders are *NOT* drones)

Summer is coming to the Northern Hemisphere and if you fly an RC plane or drone that means sun, fun and fantastic views. Here's a little of what you can expect if RC gliders are your thing.

Gliders are why I joined this hobby 9 years ago, and they are STILL the reason I enjoy flying.
But, I'll admit slope soaring does come a definite second on the list, mainly for the adrenaline rush when flying is a good solid breeze (20 plus knots is good!!)

Nice Bird of Time. I had one when they first came out and still have it but haven't flown in about 15 years. Best glider I ever had.

My first RC plane was the Gentle Lady glider in 1988 with 72MHz FM radio - as much fun as quads and high-powered electric planes are, there's nothing like the simple elegance and beauty of a glider.
