Since the dawn of time mankind must have looked up at the sky and wanted to emulate the birds that move so freely above us. We are a fortunate generation. For us free flight has become a reality. Thanks to the generations before us the kit is better and safer, there are established flying schools and flying sites. Free flight in all its disciplines is more accessible than it has ever been.

Yet, in our modern world we also face more pressures on our time than ever before. The pace of life can mean we lose track of what is important and sometimes we need to stop and ask ourselves, hypothetically, what would we do if money was no object?

How would you really enjoy spending your life? For us it's free flight, whether that be paragliding, hang gliding, paramotoring or speed flying. Join us in this film as we celebrate the joy of free flying set against the wisdom of British Philosopher Alan Watts.

What do you desire? What would you do if money were no object? (hypothetically)
How would you really enjoy spending your life?
Just what is it that you want to do?

Use the answers to set meaningful goals, and steer your reality as close to your dreams as you can.
For most of us this involves work and money.
How much depends on you, your desires.
You have to balance your responsibilities and desires.

For me the answer clearly involves free flight, amongst other things.
Free flying—soaring like a bird—is simply wonderful. I've not experienced anything quite like it.
That's why I've been free flying as much as I can since the early nineties, putting free flight at the heart of my being.
This is also why I founded Flybubble with my partner Nancy in the early noughties.
I expect free flight will continue to be a central part of my answer for the rest of this life, amongst other things.
If after this particular existence the "star stuff" I'm made of happens to be reassembled into another sentient being, I hope it's something wonderful that flies!

I personally think that there are two most important questions 1. what do I desire..? 2. How can I fulfill my desire ? Because money is still an object/energy/power
Yes I want to fly but how do I buy a glider..? And like everyone I know in my country’s flying community, they are all folks who are now doing all this after attaining their physiological needs as per Maslows pyramid.. but u can’t be spiritual on a hungry stomach with an Alan watts voice over..it’s a balance.. just like flying.. u can’t be a successful pilot if u are too risky or not risky at all, the answers are usually in the middle.. that’s what I took away from this, as I really hope I don’t meet the next generation of pilots all quiting their jobs and just flying.. I did that once, it’s a message I wanna carry forward, seek the right job which can support ur flying lifestyle, don’t quit ur job 😅

Alan Watts has a lot to answer for. When I first heard this speech as part of the ski movie "Days of My Youth" it changed my relationship with life, money and work immediately.

It's good to hear it again in the context of my current life and passion to fly. Reminding me I am on the right path and what's important. As they say, nobody's dying wish is that they worked more in life.

I grew up listening to Alan Watts and more recently made paragliding my passion so this video is brilliant. Also proud to say that I made some choices that are allowing me to have more time and resources to make the dream come true about flying the most breathtaking places of this breathtaking planet.
