Remeber y'all, Sony is not out here holding us at gunpoint demanding that we buy the PS5 Pro. This is literally an enthusiast console that is optional for everyone. Regardless if you already have a PS5 or not.

Buying the Pro day one and will make back $350 selling my PS5.

Did the same thing when PS4 Pro came out. Sold that when the PS5 came out for $350. Will do the same when the PS6 comes out.

Not a big deal because the PlayStation is holding over 50% of its value.

I would like to see how the graphics look between fidelity and the 40fps mode against the Pro. I assume it looks identical since they’re only making comparisons with performance mode.

If I didn't have a PS5, I would definitely buy the Pro. I would have buyers remorse and get over it by next payday.

The lack of a built in disc drive is a deal breaker for me.

If you have a 4k OLED display with a 120hz refresh rate with VRR on on the PS5.. are you really going to notice a difference .. Maybe it's because I'm a 30+ gamer and my vision is bad but I can't see it

I’m really excited to see how Alan Wake II looks on this thing. That’s one of my all-time favourite games and could definitely benefit from something more powerful. The game on PC looks AMAZING.

I hate the trend of two different modes. I wish developers just got to polish and set a single standard. As a consumer it’s frustrating knowing I can either pick a stable game or a high fidelity game. I want both and it has been achievable in the past, you just need to allow devs sufficient polishing time.

I'm definitely copping the Pro. I honestly was beginning to get skeptical, but I had to educate myself. I honestly think we should before we make judgements that this machine will only have minimum improvements without even seeing it in person 🤦🏽‍♂️. So yeah, I'm copping it and its definitely worth it if you can afford it. $700 is expensive but $599 isn't cheap either... So... 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm not much for the look of a controller, but I will maybe shell out extra for a controller that's more ergonomic. I'm looking at the screen, not the controller. That said, it does look cool. I remember buying the xbox elite controller b/c it was functionally better for my carpal tunnel.

The price (especially considering you have to buy the disc drive separately) makes this a non-starter for most people that would actually be interested in swapping out their base console for a pro model, which is probably the vast majority of the market for a pro model. Sure, Sony will capture some buyers who want a PS5 and haven't bought one yet for whatever reason, but I doubt that's very many people.

The PS5 Pro will certainly sell out initially, but beyond that I don't see it selling well at all this generation without a substantial price drop or some kind of buyback program for people that want to swap out their PS5's. The improvements over what the base console can do simply don't justify the price.

I don't understand why a lot of people were expecting it to be a lower price.... the original Ps5 hasn't even gotten a price cut, but instead prices increased in different regions...

The Pro is honestly what I expected from this generation at the jump. 4K-60fps should be the standard for gaming these days.
