Hearing "I hope I'm live" 100 times was crazy. Even with my phone shut off...Great Job Derek!

Hey. thanks to yours tutorials I started to try different linux distributions. First I tried ubuntu, fedora, now manjaro. I'm doing my education with youtube only because I never went to the university to learn software and computing. I have a different background. Thanks for yours tutorials.

The suspense waiting for you to see one of the maaany dark mode comments had me on the edge of my seat. And I didn’t even want to see it.

Thanks for this. I am eager to have ZFS on the root FS -- being able to snapshot before installations and updates will be a big win.

“A quick look.” A movie length of time later: Nothing wrong with that. 😛

recently moved to xubuntu from manjaro xfce and very happy. less and stable updates. come to ubuntu-world man if you don't need bleeding edge. Now I do timeshift backups only every 6 months.
though since you are not a usual desktop user, probably arch is better for you. as a linux presenter, you are better with bleeding edge.

Speaking of Y2K, a relative of mine was a developer back then and his company made him stay at work overnight in case anything went wrong. They were given glow sticks in case their flash lights stopped working; thought that was hilarious.

Great video as always
If you can make a video for fuzzy finder (fzf) for terminal and vim because it will help all the command line users and i think it will be very interesting video.

I got that message about an optical drive too so I think it's a VirtualBox issue. I didn't have that issue with 5.x.

I still use Unity in my Ubuntu 16.04 VM for all my financial stuff. I will use it another year :)

Just saw an xtra-pc advert before your video. At least they have toned down their claims on the adverts.
The other advert was about hearing aids. Guess Google knows I am getting old. Thanks Google!

Anyone testing 20.04 notice that the volume control top right is either missing or does not work? I'm using Synergy on 19.10 and on 20.04 the icon top right is too large and oval. I think most of these issues are upstream from Gnome 3.36 which is still in the testing phase.

Email client? Looked into gnus? A bit to set up, but great in classify mail. Original news reader, but is very expandable. In Emacs, of course. :-)
Snap. Hate that bloated snap.
systemd, bloated and heavy infested with NIH, which is bad. Like their dns implementation is bad, and ntp are not good enough for servers, and the system logger loses log lines which is not ok. etc etc etc. Ok for desktops, as it works, but still not for servers.
