The Baltic Fleet's journey NEEDS to be a movie. The events practically wrote the hilarious script themselves.

This very successful war for Japan kicked off with a brilliant surprise attack on a naval base. A strategy that was afterwards deemed guaranteed to never backfire.

Great job. The only correction I think is that the peace talks took place here in Portsmouth NH not Maine. 😊

It’s actually AMAZING how fast Japan modernized. In like 40-50 years they went from a medieval society to a modern world power

Russia's military hasn't changed since then either. Ranks are still gotten by favoritism, the troops are ill trained & supplied and the leadership is disjointed & unsupportive of each other. They are being taught the same lessons all over again. They still think that numbers are all that matter.

The truly incredible anime "Golden Kamuy" is set during the aftermath of the Russo-Japanese war and the MC and most of the main recurring cast are Japanese vets returning home and getting embroiled in a treasure hunt for an Ainu gold cache. It's fantastic and everyone should see it. HINNA HINNA

The video at 6:57 is of Port Arthur in Tasmania, Australia. Specifically, the island on screen is the Isle of the Dead

They didnt come close to explaining the ABSOLUTE CLUSTER FUCK, the Voyage of the Baltic fleet actually was. That fleets Voyage is one of the GREATEST NAVAL EMBARRASSMENTS IN HISTORY. IF YOU WANT TO LAUGH URSELF TO DEATH LOOK INTO IT MORE. THERES GREAT VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE ABOUT IT.
FOR EXAMPLE: s soon as they left port and entered the North Sea they attacked a fishing boat cuz they thought it was a Japanese Torpedo boat, IN THE NORTH SEA....LOL😂😂😂

18:00 only a brit would say something so stupid. It didn’t take the US 300 years to build a naval tradition. Took like 60 years

It’s 21st century, and Ruzzians are still making same mistake.

Imagine if Japan stopped at this point. They would have had access to the oil fields in Sakhalin today and Russia would lavk any form of unrestricted access for their Pacific fleet.

Could have mentioned the trawler war in north sea
And how they were basically a British ally and start of the rift between navy and army

Maine called, he says Portsmouth is in New Hampshire. N.H. Is bad at hockey.

The map at 0:11 is inaccurate. The Russian Empire then controlled Finland, the Baltic states, Congress Poland, Belarus, the Transcaucasus states, and Sakhalin.
