As a Spaniard, do not trust the unemployment figures, real unemployment is way lower due to the fact that 24% of the economy is informal. (specially in the south) even in many low qualified positions illegal immigrants are taking those low paid jobs (similar to the US, in agriculture or even at bars and restaurants).

It is not that difficult to get a job here, specially in engineering or tech most companies work in English or at least everyone speaks English there. But be certain that to live in Spain you must learn Spanish, otherwise you won't be able to integrate here.
