As talked about below by a couple of people. I'd really like to know if there is screen door effect when watching a movie? I have the Samsung Gear VR, games seem to be ok...But the movie app there is definitely some screen door action going on. I really really hope PSVR has eliminated this. I'm looking forward to playing games in Cinematic view that aren't yet VR compatible, fingers crossed the screen door effect it ...nil!

This is where the VR industry is missing out. Their development and marketing departments should be fired. You are selling a viewing device that replaces your TV/Monitor but marketing it as a controller or gaming platform. IF you had actually taken some of that development effort and put it into the movie viewing experience, and then marketed it that way, you would already have sold 100 times more units. Have units set up in the TV department of retail sites. Advertise a movie theater experience, or IMAX experience. Do you people buy a TV JUST for GAMES! NO! Blind, stupid people in charge that don't understand the market. Google VR, you find 30, 000 videos about nothing but games and one video that vaguely mentions movies can be watched on it, why, because nobody knows you can and industry treats it as a side effect. Vive and Sony (especially Sony) have really missed out, and even Microsoft is missing out by not seeing this as a replacement of your screen instead of another game controller. Kids in their bedroom, students in college can have a theater viewing experience. Do you honestly think there is no market for that, or think that the gaming market even comes close? I suspect the VR industry will die out again, and when it comes back a decade from now it will survive BECAUSE it isn't marketed for ONLY gaming, unless someone in charge actually gets up off their lazy ass.
