Also, lovely kitchen btw (lol probably should've been my opening there). That butcher block looks amazing. I'm sure you wouldn't have to worry about warping or splitting. Love the idea with the cheese, in between-ish . Such a simple yet great idea. Can't believe I'm such a dumbass for not thinking about doing the same in my hashes. Fun fact, the Dutch do something of the same, but more of a cheesy casserole. It's named the Cheesy funeral potatoes, yikes...talk about a grim meal. This is not a galette. This is cheesy hashbrowns. A galette by definition has a pastry base. Galettes refer to the catch-all term for a pastry base, topped with either sweet or savoury fillings with the edges roughly folded in to create a gorgeous, rustic-looking bake. ...
