I always found it weird that Michael gave Dumbledore an Irish accent because of Richard, but Richard wasn't doing an Irish accent in his performance.

Harris was imo closer to the book dumbledore (i have only read/listened up until the half blood prince) whereas Gambon felt less wise but rather more powerful. Like i cant see Harris' Dumbledore fighting voldemort the way Gambons Dumbeldore does

Sir Richard was just being himself, Michael brought that into his performance but didn't fully say "I am Harris playing a role" which worked. My only MINOR complaint is the "Dumbledore Asked Calmly" scene, as Harris would have just been "So, did you do it, no, good" but Gambon did it differently, and on screen it worked, even if all of us still giggle at "HARRY DID YOU PUT UR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIYAH" remembering the book.

I enjoyed Gambon’s take on Dumbledore, particularly in Prisoner and HBP. Yes I understand the issue people had with GoF but I’d say that’s more of a director vision. Everyone seemed overly aggressive in that movie. For some reason the twins trying to choke each other out after failing to put their names in the goblet is overlooked to Dumbledore’s “calmly” outburst.
