I've spent days searching for information and I apologize for feeling like I have to ask here. I need to find a way to use preserved moss for an outdoor project. In it's preserved state I know it can't actually be used for my need. Color will run when wet. Fade. And I am trying to find out without wasting the moss since I actually have no way to purchase more, is there something I can do to to this preserved, dyed moss so it can be used outside? Basically, turn it into dried moss? Seal it or? Please help!

This is actually not true. I have many different species of dried moss from my yard. Totally brown in color and I put it in a plastic tote with a little water on the bottom n spray water on the top till saturated put lid on in a sunny window or under grow lights for a few hours and you will see moisture needs form on the sides of tote and with in a week or two the moss will be green alive n loving life.
