Personally don't think was racist. All she said to the lady was is that all you're bringing? If she made a complaint about the food to the woman then yes. But as for mentioning the race of the wife, it is important to the stories as she is making tamales. I think that people are making this a bigger deal than it needs to be. Yta. There's a lot of people who would love to try them and even if they don't want to eat that specific dish, there's other dishes they can eat instead. Would you tell other guests not to bring a turkey simply because a one guest didn't like it? It's kinda racist and as someone whose family always brings our own traditional sweets to parties like these, it really shouldn't matter. Food is food. Your SIL is trying things outside of their traditional culture so it wouldn't kill you to just accept hers
