For me Forza Horizon was always about:
Buy a JDM car, buy upgrades, tunning to the last deail => Races IA at very high difficult
120+ hrs in FH4 and starting now in FH5, in my opinion, only Gran Turismo 2 is above FH

Even a casual will get more out of Forza 4 imo.
Its better optimized, has seasons, huge car selection, a better map, the hotwheels DLC, is less cringy, better music, is cheaper, etc...
the only thing Forza 5 has over it is some presentation aspects.

Prefer fh5 to fh4. Much improved car sounds (fh4 sounds terrible), smoother graphics (fh4 is way too saturared, contrasty and over-sharpened), muuuuch improved driving physics (nearly impossible to be competitive in fwd/rwd cars in fh4 plus they drive/feel weird) and it might be an unpopular opinion but i also much prefer the mexico map aswell. Such a beautiful map full with enviroments and variations. After i started fh5 i never went back to fh4...the one time i tried going back to fh4, the extremly repetitive soundtrack on cutscenes and the fart-can car sounds sent me right back to fh5. I honestly cannot understand why ppl like fh4 so much...i guess its the "hate the new, adore the old" effect. When fh6 comes out ppl will start liking fh5...its always the same...

As a highschooler that lived in indonesia and loved racing games, it really confused me to buy this game or not, it really make me think a thousand time, because in here it costed around IDR 645.000 Thats alot of money, avarage highschoolers had around IDR 300.000 monthly, im affraid that i didn't like the game, and ended up ditching it...

I know some of you would say wait for discount, nah, a 50% discount would still have like IDR 280.000 or somethings which is still not cheap...

Should have mentioned about versions .. which one to get.. Standart, Deluxe or Premium.. New to racing, don't understand the difference. I want some casual open world racing, I found sim racing too boring and repetitive

I'm casual ASF and haven't played a racing game since underground 2... An Forza 5 is perfect for me. I played for 20 minutes and unlocked a Pagani Zonda.
But I understand this video for racing fans. But as someone new. I don't give a shit about progression because I probably won't play this game long because I'm not a big racing game fan.

I don't know if this is worth, I want a racing game with a feel of progression but FH5 doesn't have that and the crew motorfest feels weird because you can't race with your actual car. Does anyone have a recommendation?

The full edition of Forza 5 costs £30. Quite expensive for a 3 year old game. I think I'll rather skip the boring Mexico map and wait for Forza 6.
