I never wanted to go to broadway but the way he said 'no broadway for you' made me think I always wanted broadway.

As someone who’s been “using straws” for almost 2 years this blew my mind. I’ve never fully got on with them and found a lot of the time I actually become more strained after using them. Turns out the whole time I’ve been using them incorrectly and making a whole load of volcanos or cutting off the air flow entirely. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in this video 🙏🏻

I'm not usually into vocal warmups (I just pick a really easy song to start with range-wise so that'll be my warmup) but I've had acute laryngitis for two days but am contractually obliged to to two more gigs tonight and tomorrow. This exercise cleared up about 80% of the areas. I can dodge my way out of the rest. Mission accomplished and thank you!

This is Great. You r hilarious. I think I'll live longer now if i stay away from Volcanos except those on Broadway.

Great exercises - I have been singing professionally and learning for 20 years now and never with a straw, but I remember doing similar exercises without the straw blowing air into my hand at the very beginning, so definately see a relationship and a benefit when it comes to breath control and the support & concentration required to achieve it.

I will certainly be looking at this as I start teaching. Thank-you!

Really great video, even more beneficial after spending a few months engaging in Tom Burke’s weekly challenge 😊

Wow I tried the first or second exercise and was very fun, trying to keep the bubbles consistent voiceless and voice, was incredible, I know i will sing 20 times better. Can't thank you enough

Questions! (I'm only working on the first part so far)
- Should we narrow our mouths to funnel the air? I find it tough to stop my mouth filling up with excess air keeping it relaxed.
- Should we work our way down with straw sizes? Should I start with regular straw, or a boba straw, before trying with a narrow juice-carton straw?
- Is it typical for lower notes to be more troublesome? I find I'm making the lower notes without making bubbles!
- Is it typical for the voice to cut out when vocalising blowing bubbles? Regardless of bubble situation.
- Should we concentrate on keeping resonance in the chest, or focusing sound to feel resonance in the lips/teeth while doing this? I find my larynx wants to do all the work.

Not sure if you still check these comments but thanks in advance if you do! (Or maybe someone else here has the answers?) :)
