I love these comments and I’m glad it’s being said; falling in love doesn’t automatically make you weak, all of these princesses weren’t really saved by a man, they were strong and independent from the beginning. Just because they happened to fall in love in the process doesn’t at all make them weak

Why are we mad at princess falling in love like they didn’t have dreams beyond a relationship, Tiana: wanted a restaurant and was willing to give up her social life, Rapunzel: was kidnapped and eugene was the only one she could knowingly rely on to get her out of her tower, Aurora: fell in love with Phillip before she fell into a 100 year sleep, Cinderella: just wanted to go to the ball, Belle: risked her ass to save her dad and ended up teaching the beast kindness, Ariel: wanted to visit the human work before meeting Eric, Mulan: wanted to take her father’s place in the war because he was ill, saved her town and bagged soldier. In these scenarios the princes were a bonus to the princesses original dreams.

Falling in love isn’t a sign of weakness, is this just a ploy to convince yourself you’re not lonely

The fact that Jax made this song to make the princess seem more badass but half of them are already badass enough. Tiana is a hardworking lady with a whole cafe, Arial wanted to experience walking and happened to find a man, and Jasmine was a strong princess that risked going into the real world even though she didn't know much about it. Being in love or married doesn't make them weak.

Animation fan here! All the princesses are already strong, with or without men. Here’s all the brave, independent, and selfless things things they’ve done:

Snow White: At FOURTEEN (look it up) an assassin was sent after her, despite being terrified alone in the woods she didn’t give up and cleaned an entire house just for the CHANCE of being able to stay there and helped around the house even when they agreed to. The prince was not thirty despite the rumor and I’m guessing they would’ve already known each other, making that kiss a goodbye kiss of sorts. When she came back to life he took her home with him so she would have a safe place to stay with no risk of being killed again.

Cinderella: Lost both her parents and was physically and mentally abused for years but kept a positive attitude and in the end got to leave her abusive home and stay with a man she loved.

Aurora/Sleeping Beauty: Ok she’s the only one who didn’t do much but to be fair she wasn’t really the main character and it focused more on the fairies. Still the prince saved her life and most likely knew about the “true loves kiss” thing so it’s not like he kissed her for no reason, and I feel like if I was her I’d be pretty grateful for not having to sleep for 1, 000 years and not being burned to a crisp by a dragon but idk that’s just me.

Bell: Sacrificed her own freedom to save her father and despite her better judgment treated the beast with nothing but kindness and compassion and was willing to get with him even with his monstrous appearance.
Mulan: LITERALLY SAVED ALL OF CHINA

Jasmine: Stood her ground and didn’t let herself marry someone she didn’t love and married the man she loved despite the class differences. Oh and tamed a literal tiger.

Mulan: A literal war hero who took her disabled father’s place and ended up saving all of China. She was even bowed to by the entire kingdom including the emperor.

Ariel: Despite her father’s hostility and hate for the main land she took it upon herself to learn more about it. After her father destroys her human stuff and expresses his disapproval about the man she loves she sacrifices her voice so she can live on land like she’s always wanted to.

Tiana: Works hard to buy a building to run her business in and even when that dream is destroyed she hold her head up high and decides to keep working at it, with or without her dream building. In the end she marry’s a man who’s willing to support her dream and runs the restaurant she’s always wanted.

Rapunzel: She had a very sheltered upbringing and when Eugene breaks into the tower she makes a deal for him to help her escape. She lives the life she’s always dreamed of and when she’s captured again Eugene sacrifice himself so she can live the life she’s always wanted. In the end she gets to be with the man she loves and be reunited with her family.

I think that’s all the princesses she mentioned + others that are often seen as nothing but “damsels in distress”. Disney princess are a lot stronger than we give them credit for.

My daughter preformed this song at a talent show. She dressed like Cinderella and her backup singers dressed like the other Disney princesses. They got in trouble for dropping the F bomb but I couldn't have been more impressed with them ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
