I am asylum seeker in Canada. My application was accepted. I applied for PR and not yet get it.
I have a Canadian refugee travel document. Can I travel outside of Canada only with refugee travel document or Do I need to have PR to travel?

Hello, I am from Afghanistan. I entered Canada by land on March 2, 2023 without a passport and applied for asylum. The court decision was positive on October 31, 2023 and I applied for a PR card. I just received an email saying that I applied. And in this email, it says that my application has been sent and that they will contact me later. By the way, I applied for a travel document and it arrived a week ago. Can I go back and forth to Turkey without any problems with my travel document and court decision? or what do I need to go back and forth without any problems? Thank you.

Sir, I’m a Canadian PR and I have been here for 3.5 yrs. My Cameroonian passport has expired and I want to go home. Can I fly out of Canada with my expired passport and re-enter with my Permanent resident card as I have to go home to get a new passport? Pls I will really appreciate your insight

I am in U.S.A now & both my PR card & passport got stolen & there is no way to recover them but i have my COPR document issued more than 2 years now, Drivers license & photo copies of passport & PR card.Also i am driving my own car registered under my name.would i be allowed to drive back to enter a land border without PR card & passport into Canada?please help

I just don't get it why the immigration will allow a Canadian PR holder who is re-entering Canada via private vehicle only by showing our provincial Driver's Licence, but we must show our PR card (super duper mandatory) if we are entering Canada by commercial flight, ships, or whatever it is. What's the point? 😂

Why they not just allow us to show our Driver's Licence, instead of bringin our PR card all the time? They can check our status in their immigration system just like they do for people who is entering Canada via private vehicle, right?

Hi there, kindly looking for help on a specific information regarding my pr renewal application that I have already submitted and awaiting to receive from IRCC.

I have already applied and got acknowledgment from the IRCC that they have received my PR renewal application a month ago but still says Inprocess status . I have booked a flight to my country of citizenship in another 6 weeks from today ( I applied 2 and half months ) before my planned travel date when submitting the renewal application.( processing time shows 89 days on IRCC)


Would I be able to get on my flight if I can provide confirmation from IRCC for my processing pr renewal application upon returning incase the PRTD I would be applying for once am back home doesn’t get back to me by my return date ? ( assuming my renewed PR card wouldn’t be here in time before I leave Canada )


Kindly advise as am a bit stressed out as couldn’t find reliable information that can ease my concerns

I am here for 7 years I applied for my Citezenship since last year.
