The main issue with "shopping around" for an automechanic, going shop to shop is not just the fact that most places charge for unnecessary repairs, they will permanently damage your vehicle, to where it can ONLY be repaired by an automechanic in a shop. I was living in Mobile, AL for a small while and a repair shop called Mark McGugin Auto Repair stabbed a hole in my power pressure line.
