What I don't understand is how you can wake up and not know how you were charged when you have to agree to the surge price before starting the ride. You have to actually tap into your phone to agree with the surge price before starting the ride. So it's not like you didn't know before hand.

This is not going to last .. #1 during a holiday everywhere in the city will surge.. so changing your location isn't going to help.. at 2am or a Holiday the entire city will surge.. maybe differently.. but you aren't going to beat surge pricing.. #2 Uber is GPS based.. Uber tells drivers not to call before hand, and no driver is going to pick you up 15mns away from your GPS point when he is in a surge zone to come get your non-surge ride.. this is just a good way to rack up a bunch of cancellation charges when the driver does "client was not at location" and get your CC charged $5... so how does this work exactly? Corral rides tried to tap into Uber and Lyft's API and got kicked out and told to stop real fast.. this video/app is a gimmick.. a joke.. and has no bearing on the real world..
