Ranking RIOT - IN CASE OF FIRE EP

RIOT hasn't really been doing so hot the last couple of years, ever since releasing "Dogma Resistance". This new EP is the beginning of their new era of music and I won't lie, even though it doesn't quite compare to anything off of their Monstercat releases, it's a lot more enjoyable than everything they've put out since 2020! It's clear that they are going for a simpler approach to the EDM genre while also providing all the heavy basses that we've come to expect from the duo. It's not a perfect EP, but it definitely puts them back on my radar and I will pay attention to what they come out with next!

I agree, their new style is very simplistic, which is crazy considering those are the same artists that made 'AIWA', 'The Mob' and 'Overkill'

Whoa, didn't know RIOT made a new EP! It's nowhere near as heavy as Dogma Resistance, but still pretty enjoyable regardless! The sound design almost makes me think of REAPER.

Also, I hate to bug you about this again, but in case you may have forgotten...Facsimile EP ranking when?

after Dogma Resistance i will admit that RIOT have significantly downgraded. the only songs i liked from them after the LP were Jackknife and Down With Your Love, and their 2022 has been pretty bad imo

Shank however, really gives me hope for their new chapter

ehh it's fine. Personally I can't dig their newer releases (stuff after dogma resistance). It's either my dubstep taste has passed or there's something missing from their recent releases.

Im not really feeling this EP
the flows are really bland and some sounds are kinda questionable
But the ideas themselves arent bad
