Our local newscaster makes the announcement of the debt ceiling agreement

Doesn't matter at this point about agreement on the debt, we are so far in debt thanks to those we elected to run this country, "left" and "right" that has led us into a rathole,
These younger people like this newscaster, have never experienced rationing, and economic turndown like us older people, I doubt they are equipped to adapt.
it takes 20 years to come out of economic turndown, and that was with a manufacturing base,
we no longer have that 'manufacturing base' it was shipped out to China and others, so it is going to be worse.
I know about economic struggles, I lived through the 40s, 50s, 70s, (I had a mortgage of 21 percent) and 80s to, the end of the 90s, and 2008, from then on to the COVID era, was the best you will see for a few decades
if we aren't taken over by Russia/China partnership.
The US empire days are over as many countries are dropping the dollar for an exchange including Saudi Arabia dropping the petro-dollar that made our dollar stronger, because of the US interfering in their politics with 'sanctions' and penalties if the countries don't want to go along with the US liberal social agendas.
And, also using the dollar comes with 'fees' for using that dollar that may go through many transactions each requiring a fee!~why would anyone want to be connected to the dollar for their exchange?
All the US has left in its toolbox is threats of invasions and war to make countries comply, those days are over!
I've lost count of how many countries are joining BRICS that will combat the NATO's hold on this world,
Some see there will be at least two powers if not more running this world.
The US empire with its arrogance is about over, you will find how it feels to be humble and respectful of other countries that share this planet.
The transiting is going to be painful.
