I like to cut mine over a bowl of water since the seeds drop to the bottom, but the skin floats. It makes for a much easier time especially if you don't use the hitting method.

Hey, thanks for this Jamie ... I've always wanted to buy pomegranates but don't know how to de-seed it nor juice it, so I would just buy boxed juices. It's great that I don't need a juicer for this! 👍🏻

Or you can't fill a bowl up with water and break the pomegranate into it and all the seeds will settle at the bottom and the white membrane will float to the top

You can just cut through the skin of the pomegranate and "rip" it open with your hands; this way you don't cut any seeds and there is less juice spilling around ;)

This saved me so much time this is a bar garnish for a seasonal cocktail and I always made a mess and took forever seeding them but now I take out my frustration on the pomegranate by beating it! Lmao 🤣
