This is just phenomenal. Honestly this is what I wanted the Scary Stories movie to be like. You've captured not just the look of the illustrations, but what it feels like reading those stories late at night, eerie and unsettling. Bravo!

This dude actually captured the art style to a T and even wrote a story that could 100% be included in the book series.

Perfectly captured the charcoal like drawings. You did a good job with using the viewer's eye following the fallen head as a distraction. Makes you look away from the hole in the wall to really get you off guard.

As a child I loved reading scary stories to read in the dark, it's super cool to see it animated like this.

It's incredible that every animation you do is so unique in style, AND terrifying! Finally, a creator that can give me the chills

Has anybody ever thought that the monster in the basement could be linked to the monster in pleasant inn? They have very similar characteristics, from the way they control the human body, to the way they decapitate the head, to the mouth structure they choose to hold. Maybe the grandpa was the man we saw at the end of pleasant inn, driving by it in his car. Or perhaps this is the origin story of the beast, and how it escaped.

Hey David. Not sure if you're still around doing animation, but I'm looking to put together quite a few projects. Would love to have you on board and discuss further. Hmu anytime!

It hits that perfect creepy vibe that makes you scared but too amazed to look away.

I think the head before the boy's grandfather came down, was that of the boy's grandmother.

I have never in my life witnessed anything so pure, so sensational, but this animation, right here. It was absolutely and utterly monumental. The sound choice was phenomenal and the animation itself was pure gold. Great job!!

I understand that animation is a long process and you have other responsibilities beyond this channel, but dang, dude. You set the bar so high for animated horror that I wish you could upload every day. You consistently knock it out of the park.

Sound choice, animation, texture design, shading, movement and the choices of isolation of movement :::: 110/10 you’re amazing Ik it must be hard doing it yourself but you’re always amazing and soooo unique

Since I’m a huge fan of these stories and loved how you made one yourself I wanted to give this animation a story as if it was written in the books itself. If the creator wishes to have this comment deleted I will do so. Im either choosing the title either “The Basement” or “Rattle” or even “The Hole”

“The Basement”/”Rattle”
Timothy Wiltkin is hearing a rusty rattling noise coming from the basement door at his grandfather’s house. He slowly opens the door that gives a long creak on its old hinges, there was no light in the basement except from the kitchen which illuminated the old staircase going down, smattered in cobwebs dust from lack of use. Timothy stares at the ascending stairs and looks behind him noticing his grandfather was asleep on a kitchen table chair, peacefully snoring. Timothy hears the rusty creaking rattling again for a moment as he turns his head then descends down the steps, the wooden boards creaking with each footstep. A small patch of light was seen from an old glass paned window but the cobwebs and dust surrounding the glass gave little light. As Timothy reaches the basement floor he hears the rattle again sounding like the echoing of rusty chains clattering together. His eyes adjusting to dim light, a large hole with brick lined up to make its shape was seen across the room on the wall. Darkness envelops the hole with an eerie silence. As Timothy stares at the hole, the sound of the rattling begins again coming from the hole. Slowly moving from the darkness, a floating head of a corpse is seen with nothing but bone and strands of hair with a single eye staring straight ahead and never blinking. Its teeth chatter and clench and grind, making the rattle sound as Timothy looks in horror as it moves out from the hole chattering louder and louder, then stops. The head drops from the air, hits the floor and rolls forward near Timothy then stops moving with its only eye staring at him. Suddenly, the corpse of a man with no head and long sharp fingers rushes out of the hole and lunges at timothy. Moments later Timothy’s grandfather wakes up from the sound of a rattle and sees that the basement door has been opened. He moves from the kitchen to the basement floor. A look of terror in his eyes as now with the rattling even louder than before, the head he remembers is no longer his son, but now his grandson has taken his place in the hole.
