Egg eaters sometimes earn a stint in the dog crate at my house. They get a higher protein feed like grower or starter for a while. In my experience they quit when they get more protein in their diets.
First I usually offer a dish of higher protein feed to the whole flock along with their regular layer pellet and additional oyster shell to see if they will get over it. If they don't stop they get separated.
I also noticed they like to pick the eggs that get extra calcium lumps on them, maybe because they see the bumpy spots and get curious, then figure out eggs are tasty when they break them

Keep water aerated. You can buy plants that stay in the water for that-or you can use some sort of small fountain (solar powered) to keep the water moving-will prevent mosquitos from settling there too.

On the chicken put her in the pan. Problem solved. lol. If she is a good producer that would be hard. Might be easier to separate them. Naw not crazy at all on wanting to do both Farming and Rving. Love your famr and can wait to RV with you in Mayberry.

We started using an automatic overflow valve in our water tank and between the animals drinking from it and the water always stirring it up as it refills we haven't had to clean the tank in four months.

So cute. A suggestion for your chickens. When you are there to watch them let them out of your pen in the yard and garden every evening leaving the gate open to their pen and they will go back in themselves before dark. Those will be the most iron rich yellow-orange yolks you've ever seen. They will eat the bugs from your vegatable plant to help reduce or eliminate any need for insecticidesm

Great information! Try getting an allergy eater for the water tank. I would love to have fresh eggs. Thank you for sharing!

Try the snails that are kept in fish tanks for keeping your stock tanks clean. They do breed quickly and are hard to kill.

Enjoyed this interesting and informative video. Some great information. We are in the finishing process of building our chicken house and have order our chicks which will ship to us the first week of June. We want two miniature donkeys too.

you need to make a chicken feeder out of 4 inch pipe, cut a length for upright and use a 45 or 90 degree ell and cut another length for the feed to fall in, cut holes in the part that goes in the pen for them to eat out of, put a cap on top and a cover over the bottom to keep out rain and a cap on the end.

For the egg eater chicken, I think at that point you should either eat the chicken or let her have her own small coop. She'd be a good breeder 'cause she doesn't eat her own eggs.
