I know the feeling of your first PCB. I am building one for a project of mine and KiCad has been a real help.

Fantastic job! I built one of these boards myself, and it just came in, but I tried flashing software and it didn’t work, the UF2 would load, but the board was still detecting as a usb storage device and not CIRCUITPY or anything like that and the serial port just wasn’t there for the arduino ide…did this happen to you by chance? I’m looking for solutions

Really Awesome! Add some buttons, a display and enjoy a Foss game console.

I have the same chipset and I can't get it working with Arduino. Installed the board manager but there so many board options. always fails to upload code

I'm attempting to do the same thing right now. I have no formal education. I wanted to make a keyboard pcb. I've gathered enough resources that I can slap a working rp2040 design on a board and add a switch matrix but I wouldn't really understand all the pieces. It feels like I'd be cheating if I got one made with this limited knowledge.

$40 with assembly?? Usually they charge me $100-$150! ...Depending on the order. I don't have many 5pc orders to look at, though. (I more often get 10 because it's cheaper per board.) My 5pc pcba orders that I can easily calculate (not including shipping, but I think yes including the $9 discount coupons they sometimes give you) were $16, $92, $85, $39, $265, $109. I should figure out what most strongly affects price.... Of course, shipping adds like $20-$50. :/
