Defeating Adventism # 138 – 3 Seventh-day Adventist General Conference False Christian Conversions

This is the now the fourth video from the on-going Adventist News Network profiles of Seventh-day Adventist General Conference members. Some of these profile interviews contain testimonies into what the interviewee believes is a Christian experience, but it is not Christian. It is very typical for an Adventist to have a testimony of the power of an Ellen Whtie book on their lives and relate the life changing power of Ellen White to their conversion into Christianity.
None of the testimonies you will observe in this video are Christian, they are decidedly anti-Christian. What you will observe are testimonies how these individuals and/or other family members became Adventists, not Christians.

Mat 7:21-23 ESV “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (22) On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ (23) And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Heresy exposed once again. My heart is aching as a former and rejoicing in your exposing them...and praying that many will be awakened through the Holy Spirit working in and through your faithfulness

Very true. Growing up in Adventism most testimonies are about being "awakened" to the truth of Sabbath keeping. For them repentance means not worshiping on Sunday, not eating pork (or if you're really super elite SDA being vegan), and believing in EG White.

Solid gold! Without repentance, there is no salvation. We have to see our lost state, desire change and accept God's gift of grace in Christ!

One easy way of dismantling Adventism is simply to 1.) Point out all the quotes where Ellen White declares her writings to be inspired by God, not merely her opinion, etc. and 2.) Point out all of the times she contradicted herself & scripture such as claiming that an angel fed Elijah instead of ravens, how Enoch actually learned from Noah and was translated just before the Flood, how Satan was also an archangel, and how there are actually many archangels according to her and MANY more falsehoods. SDAs, if they’re honest, will be forced to admit that she did make some mistakes, which would totally undermine their position that she’s the “spirit of prophecy” because Ellen white said “The Holy Ghost is the author of the Scriptures and of the Spirit of Prophecy.” (Selected Messages, Vol. 3, pg. 30)

The Holy Ghost cannot be the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). If the Holy Spirit is equally the author of the Bible as He is of Ellen White’s writings and if EGW has clear and glaring errors then SDAs have to consider if the Bible itself truly perfect in light of Ellen’s statements.

We are Saved by Grace through Faith! Not Saved by Ellen White's book, Rules and Whatever you decide from the Holy scriptures! Just like other False religions, they don't believe that the Scripture is God Breathed! If you must Add to Salvation, what you are really saying is Christ Failed at the cross! Christ did it All at the Cross! I am Justified being Sanctified waiting to be Glorified! There is Freedom in Christ! God bless you brother and your ministry!

Excellent once again, Jim. More Adventist testimonies that include nothing about being overcome by conviction of sin, turning to Christ in repentance for the forgiveness of sins, and being born again by the power of the Holy Spirit after hearing the true gospel.

As it pertains to “making the faith your own, ” this is a statement many SDAs make regarding the point where they accepted the SDA message as their own and not their parents or someone else’s.

They love to claim former SDAs “never made it their own” and were never truly SDAs.

The “ Ellenist” didn’t mention that Ellen pontificated that “ Sunday keepers” are “ worse than heathens.”

In the Adventist church salvation is sabbath and health message!

This round there is nearly as much info in the comments from EX SDA members as what we can learn from the video.
Thanks to all of you.
All glory to our LORD and GOD Jesus Christ for that

True conversion is according to John 3:3, not by reading fictions of a false prophet

The gospel is not good enough for many who join Adventism. I've seen it. Well, perhaps I should say it is their lack of understanding of the gospel which then generates interest into other subjects that focus on what man can attempt to change within: health reform, habits, preparing for the second coming, etc... Then evangelism is initiated for these subjects while reconciliation with God through faith alone is muddied and left in the dust.

I thank you for all the effort put into these videos. I now realise that sola fide and the sda investigative judgment are not compatible. I'm astoinihed as I realise the demonic power beyond Ellen White and of the doctrine that claims to be Christian, but not only that is not, is quite the opposite to the truth of salvation. That's why I thank you, may God bless you. I've discovered the true gospel now which ironically I thought I knew, but I did not really. I always thought the problem was with my knowledge, always felt I didn't know enough. But now I know all I need to know - God saves the sinner, not those who claim they need to be a saint first.
And then stand in front of the Holy God without a mediator. Anyways this can be a very long comment :))
I will continue to fight the fight and strive to be a saint, but not like the sda's teach it. Not to gain salvation (or out of fear I might lose it, or that the investigative judgment will determine my salvation based on my deeds)
God bless everyone here. And I do pray for Adventists to get rid of their defense mechanism when Adventism is attacked, and only defend the Word of God.

This adventist was not Christian...a Christian "peddles" Bibles, not egw books. The Great Controversy did what the Bible could not? in the fast lane

The conversion of the eunuch poses some interesting observations. Throughout the Word reference is made to the prophets for they testified of Jesus, being evidence that He was the Messiah. Our "friends" The Adventist, A.K.A OFTA's, they go to the Old Testament for authority; the disciples went in order to preach Jesus. The Old is not for "eternal life" but for testimony.

The Jews were like our Adventist friends. "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." Now let's see how Phillip used the Old Testament scriptures. Did he begin in Isaiah 53 and conclude pointing out the merits of the Old Law, proclaiming the sabbath, as an Adventist would have done? No. He "began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus." He did not preach the merits of the Old, but about the author of the New! Our Adventists friends would have us believe that the eunuch was converted by the law. We ask our friends here, Was the eunuch justified by the law? Did Philip preach the law that "brought us to'' Jesus, or did he preach ''Jesus''? Why did the eunuch desire to be baptized?

Now we read that "In the beginning God . . ." (Gen. 1:1) Now for a parallel, our friends must find the scripture that the ''sabbath was in the beginning, '' but they can't because Jesus said that man was made and later the sabbath. (Mark 2:27)

The Spirit guided the apostles into "all truth." (John 15:13) It has been delivered once for all. (Jude 3) Paul says that if anyone preaches any other gospel than this truth which is already delivered "let him be accursed." (Gal. 1:8-9) If the proposition that Christians are to keep the sabbath is truth, then we ought to find it in the gospel that the apostles preached. If not, a perverted gospel is preached and the preacher stands under condemnation. Now, wherein the gospel that Paul preached is the command for a Christian to keep the sabbath? Nowhere. Then, what about those that teach it? They teach not the truth and are condemned, per Galatians 1. Where do the Adventists get this doctrine that is nowhere preached in the "gospel"? From their "prophet, " Ellen G. White. When? After "the faith" was delivered once for all. (Rom. 14:23) Adventist doctrine, therefore, is not of the faith, truth, or gospel, but is a doctrine that was delivered too late, and, therefore, by a false prophet at that.

QUOTE

*Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.* 1 John 4:1
UNQUOTE

We "are not under the law, " "become dead to the law, " "delivered from the law, " and that "Christ is the end of the law." (Rom. 6:14, Gal. 5:18, Rom. 7:4, 6, 10:4, Eph. 2:15) Notice that this says "the law." Adventists attempt to make the ''agreement'' and ''the law" two distinct things. They claim that we are delivered from the "agreement" but not from "the law." So notice now that we are delivered from "the law." Which shall we believe, Adventism or the Bible?

Will the last standing SDA hoodwinker, turn the light off when you leave, Thanks in advance.

When I listen to sda people they seem to be in a trance of sda teachings. That Doug Battleor guy was in a cave and l think he had a fight with a bear there. I shouldn't make fun of him but he is stuck in false teachings, he cannot understand that his law gospel is completely opposed to Paul's gospel

What they mean by making the faith their own is that many are born into SDA church and go through SDA schools and just follow along because their parents, grandparents, great grandparents were SDA without giving much thought to why they were baptized and why they believe in EGW writings. Upon reaching adulthood, they realize they are of age to decide to stay or leave the church and must come to terms about why they have joined and been baptized, other than simply because they were raised up in it. By that time in life, they are pretty well indoctrinated and most of their friends and family are inside the denomination. It does not seem that they have a true, deep understanding of what Jesus did for them upon the cross because they are taught investigative judgment. So, I do not believe that they are ever really "Born again". They never comprehend that Jesus atoned for our sins.
