My first kpop concert, was their born pink concert in Paris. My family payed thousands for the tickets, bought the light stick after a long time of convincing, even got the shirt that’s literally 120€.

Told us the concert would begin at 9 pm. We waited 1h30 while singing to blackpink songs put in the screen. Concert finally begun, witnessed a messy 18+ show. They weren’t even doing their EASY choreos properly (I’m a dancer with 6 years of experience).

I wasn’t bothered by all of this since I came to have fun, but the lip syncing disappointed.

The song playlist got mixed up, they told us to do a French ocean with our color changing light sticks when STAY is played, but they didn’t even perform the song at the end. AND MID PERFORMANCE, ALL LIGHT STICKS STOPPED WORKING??? (Ik they have nothing to do with it but still)

Ngl, they don’t deserve « group of the year » trophy at the vmas. This group has 7 years of experience but rookie groups does better effort than them. Also this was their worst year after all the hate, the contract renewal mystery and their born pink tour.

Conclusion: Popularity ≠ talent. At this point blinks are defending thin air. As a blink stanning since 2018, ik what I’m talking about, Bp are showing a bad image of kpop.

Edit: Can y’all stop commenting, my view changed a bit and I’m no longer disappointed, I’m happy for their solo activities and I still follow every single one of the members news, like every other idol/group. Even tho my past opinion about my experience hasn’t changed, and I was just criticizing them, not hating them, I’m back to appreciating them

After reading around a thousand comments from both supporters and non supporters my thought is
1. Lip-sync is totally normal but what's the point of sound check if you're lip-syncing. Either don't lip-sync or don't do sound check.
2. "They are tired." Okay, thats completely understandable but if they are tired they could schedule accordingly. And before yall come at me like "Yg doesn't let them." They're the most popular group of their company. I think if they all protested together yg is bound to give them time to rest in between each concert.
3. STOP DEFENDING PEOPLE AT FAULT! The thing about bp is they give their all in their individual projects but when it comes to their concert they are suddenly injured, tired, sick. Which sometimesis ok even as an excuse. But every damn time this just becomes annoying. People work hard to earn money. And mind you that their concert tickets are NOT CHEAP! The least they can do is do their best. Which they don't (except Rosé). If i paid such a high price to see my fav perform and they're all lazy dancing and lip-syncing, I would be very disappointed and would think of it at a waste of movie.
