NVidia, keep your sticky fingers off ARM. I am an embedded designer and the chip shortage is killing me. I redesigned the power supply of a board 4 times this week because of procurement issues. It got so bad, I was designing with Digikey's and Mouser's website open while capturing schematic. As soon as I decided on a part, I would purchase enough quantity to get through prototyping into production. We are going to have lots of parts in inventory we don't end up using.

Contactless has been around in Europe for a while. Sometimes the contactless will fail on a card and you have to plug it into the POS.
It's more reliable than swiping but it's not infallible.

London Ont. Canada is currently in a housing nightmare with a lot of people from Toronto coming and buying up the “cheaper” homes but apartments that were going for maybe 250k CAD pre-pandemic are now 350k (untouched) to 450k CAD. Your bog standard detached home is absurd unless you’re pretty much in the boonies and even then it’s still beyond unreasonable. A LOT of it has to do with foreign investors on top of developers always opting for premium housing with very little starter homes being built if any. Southern Ontario and the west coast are NUTS right now.

On the soda cans. Living in Sweden, the coca-cola company started with the tall can like a year or two ago and I hate it and a few others have followed suit.
The fat cans are much better. There is absolutely no reason for the tall cans, they are just stupid, the drink gets hotter faster and harder to stack and breaks easier if dropped.

i work on the water front. the west coast shippers are 30% behind on all cargo, they do not have labor to bring it back up. container price has more than tripled so renting them has too. companies are scrambling to go to break bulk which is way less efficient. the shortages on all imports will continue for years to come. i dont care what anyone says, its a logistics and labor shortage problem that will not be fixed quickly.

Swiping hasn't been a thing in the UK for decades at this point, in fact, chip and pin is pretty rare now. Contactless is the most used payment method for a few years now...

0:50 we actually have both types of cans in Europe, I believe the tall and skinny are usually directed at commercial places (coffee shops, restaurants, etc) and the short and fat are in regular grocery stores and supermarkets
