1st story. Just put signs up saying that it’s private property and all vehicles will be towed and have a contract with a towing company.

"If joining your HOA is so great, why do you need to make rules to force new homebuyers to do it?"

Granny in her nightgown with an old rifle threatening trespassers is hilarious.

Parking Story: If I was OP, the moment the HOA designated my lot as the Community Parking Lot, I'd tell them to pound sand and if they go ahead and do it anyway, I'd take my Property Surveys and the fact I'm not in the HOA to the Police to have every one of the Illegally Parked Cars Ticketed and Towed at the HOA's Expense...then I'd call a Lawyer to Sue the Unholy Howling HELL out of the HOA Board for Harassment, Trespassing, Felony Theft (for claiming part of my yard was HOA Property) and Destruction of Property...and as part of the Judgement, I'd ask the Court to Permanently Disband the HOA...solve my problem as well as the problems of all the HOA Members that hated the HOA...

To H.O.A. President, “When I see power hungry louses like you, I know I am well off not being a part of the H.O.A.” That should end the discussion.

As someone who grew up on my families farm with 3-4 pigs each year. NOTHING I have smelt since compares, not cat boxes, not rotting fish, not septic tanks, not July roadkill, NOTHING, some smells you can go 'nose blind' to after some time, NOT hog crap...

My parents had a neighbor out in the country with a similar problem. Not an HOA, but just some people from California that moved in behind him on the next road over. They had the audacity to complain that farms existed in the farmland they'd moved to. So he moved his pigs out by the back fence, next to their property. Then he built a literal wall out of crushed cars to block their precious view of the valley. No idea where he got all the crushed cars, but their complaints were quite muffled after that and he carried on ignoring them.

Telling me to just join the HOA and be like everyone else would make me laugh. Me, "And just why would I want to be like everyone else instead of just being me? That makes no sense. We're not robots you know.' But then, I'm sassy like that.

Last one, he should have gotten geese as well. Their scat can really stink, plus they're noisy. Many farmers will keep a few as guard geese. 😂

Story 3. When the heck will people and especially HOAs learn to never, ever mess with farmersI know this comment might be long, but it is worth the read.

My mom is like OP's grandma. She once grabbed her rifle to run some people off who were trespassing on her property and attempting to hunt deer. They wouldn't listen to her at first and said, "Just go back home old lady!" So, my mom being the eagle eye she is, pulled up the rifle, aimed at a tree next to the hunters, and fired. The 4 guys ran off and about 2 hours later a deputy showed up at the house. He was a former piano student of my mom's. When she told him what happened, he shook his head and said, "Would you like to press charges?" My mom, being the smart-ass she has always been, told the deputy that it probably took so long for them to report her because they had to first go home and change their soiled pant and she didn't think they would be a problem anymore. She was right. After that word got around that if anyone hunted on my mom's land, they would become the hunted. Lol.

Mom loves the deers that spend time on her property. She always makes sure to have salt licks out for them, and she even grows a separate garden from her own just for the deer to eat. So, you can imagine how pissed off my 65-year-old mother was when she caught people trying to hunt her little white-tailed doe-eyed friends.

She is now 79 and during hunting season she will get on her 4-wheeler at the crack of dawn and dusk, grab her rifle or shotgun, and patrol the property to make sure her 4-legged furry friends are safe.

When my mom is no longer able to protect her deer or passes away, I will take the torch and continue to protect the deer, and my 24 year old daughter said she too will help.

I get that many people hunt to feed their families. But in our area sadly there are several hunter who look for bucks with the biggest antlers and hunt them for trophies. I cannot tell you how heartbreaking it is when you see on the side of the road or in a field a deer with its head missing and the rest left to sit there and rot.

Last story: there's a saying, "Mess with the bull, and you get the horns."

PSA: Always have security cameras if you have an HOA or Karen anywhere in the area. Always immediately call police if crimes are committed against you or your property.
Story 1: OP could have posted a sign on his own property: "Any vehicles illegally parked on this private property will be towed at the owner's expense. No exceptions"
Story 4: Always save any communications from an HOA just in case you need to use it as evidence against them in civil or criminal courts. Prosecute any crimes immediately.
The HOA attorney probably told them that they were screwed and had no legal standing which is why OP suddenly started getting apologies & land purchase offers.

chickens and pigs need ample ventilation. I would also have put up a few "quiet" fans that would help circulate the manure and compost areas aimed at the McMansions.

NEVER, EVER ignore a letter from an HOA ESPECIALLY if you are not a member...

What you do is send a response letter informing them your Property is NOT in the HOA and thus they have no Authority over it. Any farther communications regarding HOA CC&R Violations will be construed as Harassment and Legal Actions WILL be taken...In other words, LEAVE US ALONE OR I WILL SUE YOU INTO OBLIVION!!!

You can't be forced into any mandatory new homeowner agreements anyway. If a home isn't already part of an HOA, and you don't sign on to join said HOA, you can't be forced into an HOA.

Something I realized. If someone parks their car on your property technically that's illegal dumping
