Fly Your DJI Drone Anywhere | Unlocking Authorization Zones

Unlock your DJI drone and fly (almost) anywhere including in authorization zones, warning zones, and enhanced warning zones through the DJI's FlySafe website.

It's important to always get permission from local authorities in any authorization zone and remain vigilant when flying, keeping an eye out for other aircrafts in the area.

Ben, you are the man. I was a bit disappointed when I first started my drone life only months ago and struggled with zones, and then I bought the Mavic Air 2. I live near an airport and I just used your video to unlock my Auth. Zone. Awesome. Tonight I'll take a nice little flight to see all the Christmas lights in my neighborhood. Brand new to drones. This was my first “Unauthorized” area encountered. A definite pain to go through all this… not something I would have figured out on my own. I am now keeping my flight controller serial number handy. Thanks

Unfortunately there is no self unlock now, you have to request permission

I normally use the DJI or Kittyhawk app after my mini does it’s preflight check. Takes like 2 minutes. This is great for taking care of the request in advance. Thank you!

I also happen to live smack dab on a restricted flight path. No way will I ever be a hazard with my little Mini. So glad that you explained how I obtain an exemption.

I had this issue and your video helped me. Thank you. And I just figured out I can also make these request via my DJI RC PRO controller as long as I have it connected via Wi-Fi which I use my hotspot for. I was able to request and get authorization and fly within minutes.
