Audio Description On Youtube

In this video I describe what audio description is, how it is useful for the blind and visually impaired, and why it's high time we should be able to add it to Youtube videos. This is in support of the #AudioDescribeYT campaign, launched by James Rath.

Such a nice video, also very helpful for those who didn't ever thought about it. We are a non-profit organization based in São Paulo, Brasil, and we work seeking ways of accessibility, especially cultural accessibility. Things are changing around here too. Since the beginning of this year, a national law of accessibility has passed and now cinemas and tv will have to deliver the accessible content progressively until it reaches 100% in a few years. Glad to see other people working on that too. Best wishes!

I can make out what's going on in the TV without audio description but it makes it a lot easier and accessible if you had audio description in the TV as well as YouTube

Wish they'd hurry and make CC and AT available on everything. I use captions where available but 99% of stuff i want has no subtitles!

I included descriptions on my photos I post online but noticed the new Instagram video feature has no way of captioning anywhere
