When I worked in an office I always started at 7 AM which was 1-2 hours before everyone else and I got so much done. I loved having that time to myself to get the bulk of my important work done for the day.

Also, I trained my dog not to disturb me to go outside or anything when I have my work headset on. She'll still get me when its urgent but usually she'll lay right down and wait.

Great video!

I have the most trouble with distractions when going about things in my apartment, when cleaning, tidying up, and putting things away etc. The most frequent errors I make are forgetting and misplacing of things that I need or that are important to me. I personally consider an incident of missplasure as SERIOUS AS WRECKING MY CAR!! IF I NEVER FIND WHAT I MISPLACED, THE CAR IS The reason I think that way, is when I need the item that I've misplaced, I have to franticly look for it, pulling things out, and in the process misplacing other things that I need, and also dropping and breaking things. Also, missplasure is very provocative to me. It makes me so angry that I loose my temper, which leads me into behavior that can potentially have serious consequences. Also, if I can't find the item and don't have it when I need it, I find myself having to get in the car, go the store, and SPEND THAT MONEY to REplace what I've MISSplaced. That hurts me financially and ultimately leads to cash flow problems.
Therefore, at home, I'm a strong believer in saving music and TV for when I have time to sit down and relax. When it's time to go about things, chores, cleaning and tidying up etc, I TURN MUSIC AND TV Just as you would when it's time to study or do homework. I do most chores in SILENCE in effort to minimize distractions. Sometimes, I will power off my phone, and even my computer. Those too are efforts to minimize distractions. But there's only one kind of distraction that turning off music and TV can eliminate. Auditory distractions! Tuning off the TV and stereo cannot eliminate distractions in my mind.
Also in effort, to maintain focus on household chores, I tell myself that what I'm trying to do is as SERIOUS AS FLYING A COMMERCIAL AIRLINER! I also try to verbalize my thoughts of what I'm doing. I also tell myself, that the task at hand is the ONLY THING I SHOULD BE THINKING I NEED NOT TO THINK ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE BUT THE TASK AT The particular thing that I need to concentrate on, is WHERE I PUT THINGS, and MAKING SURE I PUT THINGS BACK WHERE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO GO. Those too are part of my efforts to avoid incidents of missplasure. I also tell myself to THINK ABOUT THINGS THAT I'M PRONE TO FORGETTING, especially when going out the door to go to work etc.
When it comes to distractions within my mind, which are more difficult to eliminate, most are "Daymares" about bad things that I fear could happen. Most are inspired by passed experiences.
When you mentioned putting on the headphones, I put on headphones and put on "WHITE NOISE" when I go shopping. The white noise of choice is "Turboprop Flight sound". It's the low pitched drone that you hear inside the cabin when flying in a turboprop airliner. That steady low pitched drone drowns out the piped in music, kids crying whining and carrying on, and people nearby talking on their cell phones. Finding what you're looking for in a store takes A LOT OF CONCENTRATION!!!!
I've heard that they say that piped in music in stores makes people buy more. I do not buy into that one bit!!!! I feel that if the Federal Government had any common since, they would BAN music in all retail establishments on the grounds that it is distracting to customers. When I ask a store employee for help finding something, I always tell him or her, I'm having to ask for help because of the piped in music.

I've tried using a couple different emails for the sign download and have checked my spam folders and still haven't received it. I NEED that sign for work!
